Royston Writers' Circle 
 
 
Welcome to the Royston Writers' Circle (RWC), for Royston and the surrounding area (Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire).
 

We meet once a month in the Committee Room at Royston Town Hall, generally on the third Thursday of the month at 8pm for a couple of hours.  For actual dates and the programme, please check the Programme page.  Membership is £15pa but if you'd like to find out more, please come along one evening and join us.  The first three meetings are free.
What we do?

At evening sessions we work on a topic - each member writing a piece.  Members read out their work (if they wish) and then we discuss each other's contributions in a positive manner.  Occasionally we have evenings where material is prepared in advance, allowing us to share longer articles. 
 

Whilst much of the writing is for pleasure, the group also holds periodic manuscript evenings.  These provide an informal opportunity to share, and receive feedback on, longer articles or material being written with a view to potential publication.

 
Who belongs to the Circle?

The membership includes professional writers, new writers, talented amateurs, enthusiasts,

and simply people who enjoy the sheer pleasure of putting words onto the page.  The meetings provide a chance for each of us to spend time on something we love doing and to develop our writing in a supportive, friendly and informal atmosphere.
